    01Andalusian Dreams

[Verse 1] Sunrise paints the fields of Spain, same as yesterday My sheep, they know the path we tread, no need to lead the way But in my heart, a whisper stirs, a question takes its hold Is this all there is to life, this story to be told? The wind it sighs through olive trees, a song of distant lands Of mountains high and oceans deep, beyond these sun-kissed sands. [Build] Andalusian dreams, under starry skies A hidden treasure gleams, reflected in my eyes A journey calls to me, a path I must pursue To find the destiny, that whispers, "Maktub..." [It is written] [Verse 2] I had a dream, a vision strange, beneath the fading light A child appeared, then pyramids, all bathed in golden white They told me seek a treasure there, across the desert wide A voice within me says, "Go forth," no longer can I hide. This feeling deep, it gnaws at me, a yearning to break free From all I know, all that's secure, to chase what's meant to be. [Chorus] Andalusian dreams, under starry skies A hidden treasure gleams, reflected in my eyes A journey calls to me, a path I must pursue To find the destiny, that whispers, "Maktub..." [Bridge] Is it foolishness or fate, this pull I can't deny? To leave the comfort of my flock, beneath the endless sky? [Chorus] Andalusian dreams, under starry skies A hidden treasure gleams, reflected in my eyes A journey calls to me, a path I must pursue To find the destiny, that whispers, "Maktub..."

    02Wool & Whispers

[Verse 1] Four days until I see her, a smile that cuts the grey She talks of life inside the walls, where every day's the same I talk of distant mountains, adventures I might chase But her eyes, they hold a magic, that slows my restless pace. [Chorus] Wool and whispers, in the market square Trading stories, secrets in the air Her flowing hair, like midnight streams, Caught between two worlds, and chasing different dreams. [Verse 2] She asks me how I learned to read, in fields of green and gold I tell her sheep teach more than books, lessons brave and bold She wonders why a reader chooses life beneath the sun I mumble something, hesitate, the words won't freely run. [Chorus] Wool and whispers, in the market square Trading stories, secrets in the air Her flowing hair, like midnight streams, Caught between two worlds, and chasing different dreams. [Bridge] The desire to stay, to settle down, a feeling new and strong But the call of far horizons, still plays its haunting song. Bismillah, [In the name of God], I say a silent plea To find the strength to choose the path, that's truly meant for me. [Chorus] Wool and whispers, in the market square Trading stories, secrets in the air Her flowing hair, like midnight streams, Caught between two worlds, and chasing different dreams.

    03Tarifa

[Intro] Tarifa breathes... secrets on the breeze... Yeah... Listen... [Verse 1] Crossroads town, where oceans meet the shore Seeking answers for a dream I can't ignore Old woman reads my palm, speaks of pyramids afar Says, "Go find your treasure," leaves a questioning scar. She wants one-tenth the prize? Feels like another trick Just a dream about some gold, my patience wearing thick. Sitting weary on a bench, a book my only friend Then a stranger shares my wine, a story without end... [Verse 2] He knows my past, my parents' names, the path I left behind The seminary walls I fled, the freedom I hoped to find. Melchizedek, he calls himself, King of Salem's grace Says I've found my Personal Legend, written on my face. Speaks of destiny, a journey I must start "When you want something," he declares, "the universe plays its part." Offers wisdom, not for free, a tenth of flock's the price Six sheep I trade for stones and words, a crucial sacrifice. [Chorus] Tarifa's sun, reveals the guiding light Urim and Thummim, black stone and the white A choice is made, the sheep are sold, the journey takes its hold Maktub... a whispered fate... a story to be told. [Bridge] He tells a tale of oil drops, on a simple silver spoon See the world's great marvels, beneath the sun and moon But don't forget the treasure, that you carry deep inside Balance life's distractions, with nowhere left to hide. [Chorus] Tarifa's sun, reveals the guiding light Urim and Thummim, black stone and the white A choice is made, the sheep are sold, the journey takes its hold Maktub... a whispered fate... a story to be told. [Outro] Maktub... It is written... Go...

    04Personal Legend

[Verse 1] "It's what you have always wanted to accomplish..." A quiet knowing, deep inside, when you were just a seed A fire in your spirit, a hunger and a need. Everything felt possible, clear as the eye could see The world was yours to conquer then, wild and young and free. You weren't afraid to dream, to yearn, to reach beyond the veil For everything you wished to find, knew you could not fail. But time brings whispers, mystic force, begins to dim the light Says, "It's impossible, give up," abandons you to night. They call it fate, this drift away, from paths we're meant to roam The world's great lie: that we lose control, and can't find our way home. [Chorus] But that desire, it lives inside, born from the universe's soul Your mission here on Earth, to make your spirit whole. To realize your Legend, heed the signs along the way The Soul of the World conspires for you, listen when you pray. [Verse 2] "It's a force that appears negative... but actually shows you how..." It prepares your spirit, tests your will, here and now. It tempers your heart, builds your strength, through trials you endure Because there is one great truth on earth, constant, strong, and pure: Whoever you are, whatever you do, when you want something true That desire originated, in the Soul, it's waiting there for you. Even just to travel far, or seek a lover's hand Or search for hidden treasure, across the sea and sand. [Chorus] Because that desire, it lives inside, born from the universe's soul Your mission here on Earth, to make your spirit whole. To realize your Legend, heed the signs along the way The Soul of the World conspires for you, listen when you pray. [Bridge] The Soul of the World is nourished, by joy and happiness And even by the envy, the pain and the distress. Your only real obligation, is the journey you embrace All things are one connection, in time and outer space. [Outro] All things are one... Maktub...

    05Tangier Nights

[Verse 1] New world, foreign tongue, a maze of sights and sound Trusted a smiling stranger, now everything is drowned In this bitter sea of loss, my hope begins to fade Was it all a foolish dream? A cruel game I played? The air is thick with betrayal, a knife twisting slow Every shadow seems to mock, the seeds of doubt they sow. [Chorus] Tangier nights, they cut so deep, a blade of cold deceit Stole my gold, my innocence, left me shattered in the street Is this the omen I was warned? A test I cannot bear? Lost in this labyrinth, consumed by my despair. [Verse 2] Foolish, naive, I let my guard down, trusted in a lie Now I'm staring at the darkness, tears welling in my eye Where's the universe conspiring? Where's the helping hand? Just a cruel and empty market, in this unforgiving land. My dreams lie scattered on the ground, like broken shards of glass This journey's turned to ashes, will this feeling ever pass? [Chorus] Tangier nights, they cut so deep, a blade of cold deceit Stole my gold, my innocence, left me shattered in the street Is this the omen I was warned? A test I cannot bear? Lost in this labyrinth, consumed by my despair. [Bridge] Lost... Alone... Betrayed... Is there any hope remaining? Or am I forever swayed? Ya Allah, [Oh God], guide me through this night Show me a flicker of your light, restore my fading sight. [Outro] Despair... Darkness... Tangier...

    06Crystal & Clarity

[Verse 1] Sunlight through the dusty panes, thirty years the same He sits and waits, the crystal gleams, whispering his name. I come ashore with empty hands, a hunger and a plea "Just let me clean this glass," I ask, "for something food for me." Simple work, a simple task, beneath the Tangier sky But washing dust reveals the light, hidden from the eye. [Chorus] Oh, the crystal and the clarity, the slow unwinding days Learning lessons silent, in a hundred different ways. Patience like the steady sun, the language deep inside Maktub flows on, a quiet hum, nowhere left to hide. It is written... [Verse 2] An omen brings the customers, drawn by a sudden shine The shop revives, a flicker bright, a fortunate design. We build a shelf outside the door, a hopeful, fragile stand Tea in crystal glasses served, beauty takes command. He fears the change, the forward push, prefers the known and old While beginner's luck, a guiding force, makes my own spirit bold. [Chorus] Oh, the crystal and the clarity, the slow unwinding days Learning lessons silent, in a hundred different ways. Patience like the steady sun, the language deep inside Maktub flows on, a quiet hum, nowhere left to hide. It is written... [Bridge] He dreams of Mecca, holy ground, a journey never made Afraid to leave, afraid to risk, lets his own Legend fade. Eleven months, I count my coins, enough to buy the sheep But restless dreams of pyramids, rise from their slumber deep. This waiting time, it taught me well, but something calls me on Beyond the shop, beyond the coast, towards the desert dawn. [Outro] Clarity... Maktub... The glass reflects the path ahead... Clarity... Maktub... It is written... time to go...

    07Caravan

[Verse 1] Two hundred souls, four hundred beasts, moving toward the east Beneath the sun, a silent march, the greatest and the least. Dust and silence, sun and sand, a solitary feast... For the eyes that learn to see, the language of the track Every dune a whispered word, there is no turning back. The Englishman reads ancient scrolls, lost in his own quest While I watch the shifting sands, putting faith to the test. I learn to know my camel's gait, the rhythm slow and deep The desert teaches patience, secrets it does keep. [Chorus] Caravan crossing, under watchful stars so bright Soul of the desert speaks, in the day and in the night Maktub, the driver sighs, "Live only in the now" Each step a prayer, a destiny, we somehow must allow. [Verse 2] We meet another caravan, trade goods beneath the moon Exchange the news of windstorms, coming late or soon. Whispers of war, ride on the wind, a tension starts to grow Hooded riders watch us pass, Bedouins, to and fro. No fires lit against the cold, we huddle close in fear A camel's groan, a sudden fright, danger drawing near. But the camel driver smiles, says "Worry not my friend, Allah writes our story, right until the very end." [Bridge] "Fear not the losing," is his creed, "what's written will remain" Our lives connected, hand-in-hand, our histories the same. "Fear evaporates," he says, "when we can understand" Our life stories written, by that single, guiding Hand. The desert tests, it makes you small, beneath its endless grace Learning intuition's call, in this sacred, silent space. [Chorus] Caravan crossing, under watchful stars so bright Soul of the desert speaks, in the day and in the night Maktub, the driver sighs, "Live only in the now" Each step a prayer, a destiny, we somehow must allow. [Outro] Maktub... Maktub...

    08Fatima

[Verse 1] Time stood still, the desert hushed, when I first saw her face Dark eyes that held the universe, a beauty and a grace. Beside the well, she drew the water, sunlight in her hair A vision of serenity, beyond all compare. The language of the world spoke clear, a truth I couldn't hide In this oasis of my heart, love opened wide. [Chorus] Fatima, my desert rose, a love that sets me free She understands the journey, the path I'm meant to be. No chains, no binding promises, just faith and open hands A love that echoes through the stars, across the shifting sands. [Verse 2] I tell her of my shepherd life, the fields of gold and green Of kings and crystal shops, and all that I have seen. She listens with a quiet strength, a wisdom in her gaze And I know this love is different, than all my passing days. She speaks of desert women, their patience and their pride Waiting for their men to return, with nowhere left to hide. [Chorus] Fatima, my desert rose, a love that sets me free She understands the journey, the path I'm meant to be. No chains, no binding promises, just faith and open hands A love that echoes through the stars, across the shifting sands. [Bridge] She says, "The desert takes our men, and sometimes they don't return But their spirits live forever, a lesson we must learn. They become the clouds, the water, the soul of everything And if you're truly part of my dream, one day you'll come back again. Maktub" [Chorus] Fatima, my desert rose, a love that sets me free She understands the journey, the path I'm meant to be. No chains, no binding promises, just faith and open hands A love that echoes through the stars, across the shifting sands. [Outro] Fatima... My love... Maktub...

    09The Vision

[Verse 1] Silence in the oasis, a fragile, temporary peace Beneath the palms, I sit and wait, for inner thoughts to cease. Meditating on the sands, the stones beneath my feet Trying to hear the desert's heart, its ancient, slow heartbeat. Two hawks above, they dance and weave, upon the currents high A ballet born of wind and will, against the azure sky. Then one attacks, a flash of rage, a feathered, sudden war A symbol crashes in my soul, shakes me to the core... [Build] A vision floods my senses, fleeting, sharp, and cold An army charging through the palms, a story to be told... Swords unsheathed, a battle cry, invasion drawing near Not mirage, not wishful thought, but visceral, raw fear. This isn't desert magic, not desires taking hold It's blood and steel approaching, a future uncontrolled. [Chorus] Omens in the desert sky, the hawks reveal the dread The Soul of the World is screaming warnings in my head Danger comes to sacred ground, the peace about to break A message I must carry now, for everybody's sake. [Verse 2] I run back towards the campfires glow, my heart a frantic drum The camel driver understands, the visions that have come. He knows the seers, knows the signs, the language of the world Says "Tell the chiefs what you have seen, let your truth be unfurled." They'll laugh, they'll scorn, a stranger's words, against Tradition's might? Violating neutral ground? Impossible! Not right! But Fatima's eyes, they give me strength, to face the tribal chiefs To speak the omen I have seen, despite their disbeliefs. [Outro] War is coming... Listen...

    10The Alchemist

[Verse 1] Walking through the moonlit dunes, after the council's test My future hanging by a thread, put courage to its best. Then thundering sound, the earth it shakes, a wind I've never known Before me looms an energy, on a desert throne. Blinding dust, then from the haze, a figure carved in stone... Astride a horse of purest white, all powerful and stark Falcon watches from his arm, leaving its eerie mark. Clothed in black, from head to heel, eyes burning through the veil A curved sword drawn, reflecting moon, its edge sharp without fail... [Chorus] "Who dares to read the hawks?" His voice commands the night A test of will, a challenge thrown, beneath the pale moonlight. Courage tested, face to face, I stand and hold my ground The Alchemist, the desert's sage, on sacred Hallowed ground. He holds the secrets yet untold, wisdom deep and old A guide upon the final stage, more precious than pure gold. [Verse 2] Sword point touches on my brow, a single drop of red "I saw the Soul of the World," is bravely what I said. No fear of death, my Legend calls, the words the old king spoke The cycle turns, the lessons learned, the promises awoke. He speaks of courage, Language of the World, a path few understand The desert tests all men who walk upon its shifting sand. "Love the desert, trust it not," he warns with knowing eyes "Or it will kill the distracted soul, beneath indifferent skies." [Bridge] "If your head is on your shoulders still, when sunset paints the grey Come find my tent," the stranger calls, then swiftly rides away. He points toward the south, then gone, into the dust and fade Leaving questions in the air, the final part is played. He knows the omens, knows the Soul, the stars, the wind, the sand The teacher sent to guide me now, by the Creator's hand. [Outro] The Alchemist... Find him... South...

    11Listen to Your Heart

[Verse 1] Crossin' desert days, the silence starts to speak But inside me there's a voice, that whispers I'm too weak. My heart recalls the fearful thoughts, remembers every pain, Says "Turn back now, forget the dream, escape this desert plain." Shows visions lost like desert dust, where hope begins to rust... But deeper still, a signal true, I know that I can trust. [Chorus] Oh, listen to your heart... Maktub... leads me back to you... Oh, listen to your heart... Maktub... leads me back to you... [Verse 2] It clings to what I've gathered, the gold, the love I found, Says "This is safety, this is life, stay on this solid ground." But the Alchemist spoke wisdom clear, "Know your heart right through... Past the noise and doubt you hear, its true song guides you true." So I listen closer now, accept its fearful plea, It's just a human heart, that's part of bein' me. [Chorus] Oh, listen to your heart... Maktub... leads me back to you... Oh, listen to your heart... Maktub... leads me back to you... [Bridge] An encounter with the source, with God and endless time... My heart grows quiet, understands, this sacred, upward climb. [Chorus] Oh, listen to your heart... Maktub... leads me back to you... Oh, listen to your heart... Maktub... leads me back to you... [Outro] It speaks of treasure waiting... knows its journey's true... Listen to your heart... Maktub... leads me back to you...

    12Language of the World

[Verse 1] Desert vast, you hold my love, somewhere within your space Reflected in your endless dunes, I see my Fatima's face. Lend me your power, ancient sand, help me become the breeze To reach my treasure, fulfill the dream, put my own heart at ease. You say you only offer sand? I need to ask the Wind? The cycle turns, the falcon feeds, where does the world begin? [Verse 2] Oh Wind, you brought her voice to me, you travel far and free You know the language of the world, now share your strength with me. Just for a moment, let me soar, like you across the land You say we're different, can't be done? Help me to understand! Love makes the impossible real, that's what the wise men say Help me make a storm arise, to blot the sun today! [Chorus] Speak to the Hand that wrote it all, the elements advise Seek the source, the ultimate, beyond the earth and skies. The Language of the World connects, the desert, sun, and me Unlocking secrets, finding power, for all the world to see. [Verse 3] Oh Sun, you see the Soul of World, you know that all is one Why copper, lead, and gold must change, their Legends never done. Love isn't static, standing still, or watching from afar It's striving to be better, reaching for a distant star! Help me now to be the wind, complete this mystic quest! You say you cannot grant this wish? Put wisdom to the test! [Bridge] (Ahhhhh..... Oooooh..... Mmmmm.....) The Universe falls silent now, no words I need to speak A current flows straight from my heart, for the connection I seek. The Hand that wrote, the Hand that knows, the reason and the rhyme Performing miracles beyond, the bounds of space and time. [Outro] I reach the Soul! The Soul of God! It's living deep in me! My soul is His! His Soul is mine! Eternally! The power to transform, to shift, to make the mountains rise! The Hand That Wrote It All, reflected in my eyes! I can do this... I AM THE WIND! Maktub...

    13Simum

[Verse 1] "Ask the Hand that wrote it all..." the sun decrees the plea! Silence falls across the dunes, surrounding only me! No words, no pleas, just open heart, a love-current flows free! To the source of all creation, for the wind I need to be! Universe falls silent now, I sense it start to bend! Understanding washes through, on this my soul depends! [Build] The desert, wind, and sun look on, they seek to understand! The signs, the paths, the emerald's code, held in that single Hand! Why we were made, the paths we take, no creature truly knows! Only the Hand performs the change, as evolution flows! Reaching through the Soul of World, see the Soul of God! See my soul is His Soul now, upon this sacred sod! [Climax] I CAN DO THIS! I AM WIND! THE POWER IS WITHIN! MIRACLES UNFOLDING NOW! LET THE CHANGE BEGIN! SIMUM! BLOW! RAGE! TRANSFORM! THE STORM DESCENDS! THE SANDS ARISE! OBSCURING EARTH AND SKY! SIMUM! TEAR THE CAMP APART! DEFY THE CHIEFTAIN'S EYE! SIMUM! I AM THE STORM! [Verse 2] Generations will recall, the legend told this day How a shepherd boy became the storm, and blew the camp away. Arabs speak in hushed tones, of magic they have seen Defiance of the chieftain's power, where only dust had been. Silence falls, the dust descends, where was the boy before? Standing calm beside the guard, needing nothing more. Sorcery, the men cry out, with faces full of fear! [Outro] Two voices whisper: The Alchemist: "Perfect..." The Chief: "Allah..."

    14Pyramid Sands

[Intro] Final words still echo... ride beneath the moon's soft gleam... Then stone arises from the sand... the waking from a dream! Majestic Pyramids appear! Bathed in silent, silver light! My journey's end, my treasure near, tears fall into the night! [Verse 1] Tears hit sand, a scarab crawls, the sign my heart decreed! Right here! The spot! The digging starts, planting faith's small seed! Hands raw and bleeding, search the dark, for what the dream foretold... Footsteps near! Shadows loom! Figures seize and hold! "Refugees! Give us your gold!" Eyes burn with violent greed! They pull me out, they strike me down, plant fear's destructive seed! [Bridge] Beaten down, death feels so close, beneath the dawning red... "I dig for treasure!" scream the words, trapped inside my head! The leader laughs, "He has no more," then stops before he's gone... "Don't be so stupid, boy," he scoffs, his voice cold as the stone. "Two years ago, right here I dreamed," his bitter words spill free, "Of Spain... a church... a sycamore... with treasure waiting... for me." [Outro] His dream...? My church...? The sycamore...? He walked away unknown! He laughed at me! The Pyramids laugh! But seeds of joy are sown! I know the place! I know the tree! The circle is complete! The treasure's waiting back at home! Oh, victory is sweet! Maktub! It's written! Now I see! The journey makes me whole!

    15The Sycamore's Secret

[Verse 1] Back beneath the Spanish stars, where my journey first began The ruined church stands silent, witness to the path of man. The sycamore still grows there, where the sacristy once lay I dig beneath its ancient roots, where dreams had shown the way. Not lies the dreams had told me, for something does arise A chest of Spanish gold appears, a glinting, rich surprise. Coins and masks and precious stones, spoils of forgotten years But the real treasure's not the coins, it's conquering the fears. [Chorus] Andalusian dreams, they led me far and wide Across the sands of destiny, with my heart as my guide. The treasure wasn't hidden, in some far distant land It was waiting all along, beneath the shifting sand... Of where I started, close at hand. [Verse 2] I think of all I've learned, the lessons etched in soul Of Melchizedek the king, the merchant strong and whole. The crystal shop's clear teachings, the caravan's slow pace The language without words, Fatima's loving face. The Alchemist's strange wisdom, the desert's vast expanse The courage to keep going, to take another chance. Urim, Thummim in the chest, reminder of the king Life is generous to those, who hear their Legend sing. [Chorus] Andalusian dreams, they led me far and wide Across the sands of destiny, with my heart as my guide. The treasure wasn't hidden, in some far distant land It was waiting all along, beneath my digging hand. [Bridge] The journey was the treasure, the growth, the pain, the strife Understanding omens, the very breath of life. The Pyramids were beautiful, a sight I had to see To understand the message, that was always meant for me. Alhamdulillah, [Praise be to God], for all that I have seen For every twist and turning, every vibrant, hopeful scene. [Chorus] Andalusian dreams, they led me far and wide Across the sands of destiny, with my heart as my guide. The treasure wasn't hidden, in some far distant land It was waiting all along, here beneath my hand. [Outro] Maktub... Home...

    16Maktub

[Verse 1] Wind blows east, your scent I know, levanter soft and low Desert behind, my Legend found, but it's to you I go. The treasure's gold beneath the tree, means nothing now, my love Compared to you, my destiny, sent from the stars above. [Chorus] Maktub, my love awaits, across the desert wide Journey done, the circle closed, nowhere left to hide. I'm coming, Fatima, through sun and shifting sand I'm coming, Fatima, to take your loving hand. [Verse 2] I saw your face in desert stars, heard whispers on the breeze You were my light through trials hard, your memory brought me ease. Absence only made you shine, my constant, burning flame And every step just sang your name, again and yet again. [Chorus] Maktub, my love awaits, across the desert wide Journey done, the circle closed, nowhere left to hide. I'm coming, Fatima, through sun and shifting sand I'm coming, Fatima, to take your loving hand! [Outro] The wind it brings your kiss to me... rests gently on my face... I'm coming home... I see you now... Fatima... My true place... Maktub... Oh, Maktub... Home... with you...

17Listen to Your Heart - Remix

[Verse 1] Miles of sand behind me now, lessons learned in dust Followed omens, chased the signs, rebuilt my broken trust. Heard a whisper on the wind, a promise soft and low Said keep on moving forward, there's a place you gotta go. Through doubt and fear, I lost the way, stumbled in the haze Forgot the compass held within, through all those desert days. [Chorus] Oh, listen to your heart... Maktub... leads me back to you... Oh, listen to your heart... Maktub... leads me back to you... [Verse 2] The world conspires to help you find, the treasure you pursue It speaks in flight of birds above, in skies of endless blue It shines in crystal clear and bright, reflects your inner light Just gotta tune your spirit in, and make the future bright No need to fear the consequence, the suffering or pain 'Cause every step towards the dream, there's wisdom you will gain [Chorus] Oh, listen to your heart... Maktub... leads me back to you...
